Museum descriptions[edit | edit source]

Wild[edit | edit source]

This common insect has no attack ability. It seems that they're only good for making grasslands more colorful.

Tame[edit | edit source]

When tamed, these creatures can help you illuminate even the darkest of nights.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

It is a very tiny creature compared to majority of Pixark animals, it has a dark green tint surrounding it along with a yellow light on the end.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Floats around harmlessly lighting up an area around it.

Taming[edit | edit source]

Note: Non-magical Sleepy Arrows fired from a bow or crossbow deliver extra torpor over time for 5 seconds after impact. Only two instances of this effect can be in effect at once - a third arrow hit before the effect has fully resolved will result in potential torpor being wasted. For maximum efficiency, time your shots so that they land 5 seconds apart. The numbers given here are assuming you do so.

For passive tames, there is a long wait between the first and second feedings as the creature eats, after which it follows the feeding intervals listed. These feeding intervals are estimates - the actual interval will vary per-creature based on random chance.

Combat[edit | edit source]

When ordered to attack any type of animal, it will turn around and run away, making it entirely useless for combat.

Utility[edit | edit source]

The Firefly can be picked up, turning them into a hands-free cold light. Unlike the torch or other fire-based lighting, Fireflies do not raise the temperature. While sitting on your shoulder they are good for mining and combat at night or in dark places. They are bright enough to use as a lamp.

Permanent Lighting

When unlocked the "Firefly Pillar Lamp" or "Firefly Wall Lamp" you can drop a tamed firefly near it and put it in the lamps using the radial menu "E". Captive fireflies will eventually starve to death unless the lamp is within range of a Feeding Trough.

Lamp blueprints can be found in drops and ruins.
