The Quartz Pit is a child Biome of the Desert.

Appearance

The presence of a Quartz Pit is most often given away by patches of exposed Quartz and occasional Iron veins.

Utility

Quartz Pits are, unsurprisingly, a great source of Quartz but also contain a large amount of Thunder Magic Stone and Copper. Iron, Sulfur, and Coal can also be present.
