Parent Items are game files that only exist as templates for their "child" files. They are the top-level files which are inherited by the various other items actually interacted with by players in-game. Parent files are only obtainable if admin-spawned in, but are most often incomplete items that would not work anyways. They would only be of interest to modders, but most modders would already know how to find them if they were needed.
